The Wood Stove Shop Returns Policy
We understand that in a perfect world, every customer would adore their purchase. However, we also recognise that sometimes an item might not meet your needs. In the unlikely event that your purchase from The Wood Stove Shop isn’t suitable, we’re proud to offer a 14-Day No Quibble Refund Policy, providing you peace of mind when shopping with us. This policy gives you 14 days to decide whether to keep the item or return it for a refund.
Our returns policy aligns with the Consumer Contract Regulations, effective 13/06/2014. These regulations grant customers the unconditional right to cancel online, phone, or catalogue orders within 14 days of delivery. To exercise this right, simply notify us via email or letter within this period. Unfortunately, we cannot process cancellations over the phone.
Choosing the Right Product
To minimise the risk of returns, our team is here to guide you in selecting the perfect product for your needs. If you have questions about installation, we highly recommend consulting a HETAS or Gas Safe engineer before placing an order. They can help ensure compatibility with your installation system. Conditions for Refunds
To qualify for a refund:
- Items must be returned in their original packaging and in a good, unused condition.
We advise photographing the product before returning it to document its condition. Please note, refunds exclude additional delivery services if the return is due to unsuitability.
Our Returns Process
1) Notify Us
Email us at orders@thewoodstoveshop.co.uk within 14 days of delivery to start the returns process.
2) Receive Instructions
Our team will provide detailed instructions, including how to package the item securely and any associated costs.
Collection Cost/Options
Arranged by Us: For large or heavy items, we can arrange collection. The fees for this service are:
- Parcel Collection: £50 per parcel
- Pallet Collection: £150 per pallet
Items must be packaged securely. Palleted items must be strapped to prevent damage. Our team will guide you through this process. Collection charges will be deducted from your refund.
Arranged by You: You may return items yourself. Ensure they are packaged securely and contact us for the appropriate return address.
Inspection and Refund
Returned goods are inspected for resalable condition. Refunds are processed within 7-10 days after receipt. If items are not in acceptable condition, deductions may apply.
Damaged or Faulty Products
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, follow these steps:
Inspect the item upon delivery and refuse it if the damage is evident. Notify us immediately by phone at 07763 619461 or email orders@thewoodstoveshop.co.uk.
If damage is discovered after delivery, contact us within 48 hours.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faults reported within 30 days qualify for a full refund, repair, or replacement. For faults reported after 30 days, we’ll work with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.
Order Cancellation Upon Delivery
If you decide to cancel your order at the point of delivery and request that the driver return the item, we can arrange for this. In such cases, a deduction of £140.00 will be applied to your refund to cover the delivery, handling, and return costs already incurred.
